Vision Award 2012 for our tenants AfB

"I wanted to create an enterprise that alllows growth based on social responsibility." Paul Cvilak, the founder of the AfB gGmbH "social and green IT", said on May 21st when he received the Vision Award. The company received the award for the development of new, effective ideas that incorporate environmental and social aspects.

The award of the "Nobel Prize for Social Innovation" was the highlight of the three-day conference on the University of Potsdam campus, which was themed "IMPACT – continue rethinking the world". In workshops and presentations social investors, foundations, nonprofit organizations and other socially committed discussed about the challenges of society on education, migration, environment and searched for solutions.

The social innovator of AfB (work for people with disabilities), founded in 2004, is the first competitive IT systems integrator where computer hardware from other companies and institutions is refurbished and then sold. Half of the jobs are reserved for people with disabilities so that they become integrated into the conservation of resources and electronic products. In 2011, over 200.000 units were processed in 10 locations in Germany and Austria.

We are glad they are our tenants here at the Malzfabrik!
