New in the Vorderhaus

Triaphon is a non-profit organisation that has the goal to improve the medical care for patients with language barriers.

The fact that there are not enough available interpreters in medical acute situations has sometimes big implications. A team of physicians started to take care of it. With Triaphon there is now a telephonic 24h-interpreter service for hospitals and medical practices. The interpreters are immediately available and translate on the phone short conversations between doctors, carers and patients. That makes one-on-one medical care possible.

Founder and assistance physician Lisanne Knop and Founder and future general practitioner Korbinian Fischer took on the task to improve the communication between medical personnel and foreign language patients.

A patient speaking Arabic, Farsi, Russian, Vietnamese, Turkish or Romanian is able to reach 200 interpreters with Triaphon and can therefore be taken care of by doctors and care personnel around the clock. They can choose the language on the phone keyboard that they need it translated into. All interpreters work in in 24h shifts as volunteers and receive an expense fee from the non-profit organisation.

We welcome the start-up company at Malzfabrik and with them good luck!
