Our Art-Tip

A clear recommendation for the upcoming Berlin Art Week is the opening of “An Invitation To Disappear” by artist Julian Charriére.

Julian Charriére is a tenant of ours since some years. In his atelier in the winery he creates visual arts like his recent exhibition “An Invitation To Disappear”. He takes you with him to an audio-visual excursion into the dystopian and paradisiac landscape of a palm oil plantation in the direction of a totemic sound system to the max.

For 76 minutes a sunrise and sunset with flickering light, distanced blazing fire can be observed. The concept and the film are created by Julian Charriére, the fitting sound came from Inland (alias Ed Davenport). The opening ceremony will take place on 26th September 2018 in Berghain and the Berlin Gallery. Let yourself taken under the water surface of the Pacific Ocean!

The origin of the project is the answer to the 200th anniversary of the eruption of the volcano Tambora in 1815, which plunged the world into a mysterious dark and was responsible for many extreme weather events afterwards.

This is an event by A-TON, Berghain and Berlin Gallery.
