The German concept and performance artist MIA FLORENTINE WEISS (*1980) is performing between the poles of of object art, installation and multimedia.

Her artistic leitmotiv “What is your place of protection?” is consequently guiding her work since 1999 by questioning women´s equality worldwide.

Derived from the ambigram LOVE/HATE and the neon-installation NOT/NOW Weiss developed this light sculpture which has been unveiled in autumn 2017 in from of the Berlin Reichstag.

The women's magazine EMOTION presented the survey results of the Institute for Demography Allensbach for the subject #whatwomenwant in front of the German Bundestag. After that the sculpture was transported to the URBAN NATION MUSEUM FOR CONTEMPORARY ART. After another presentation in Swizerland at the Basel SCOPE fair, it found it's way back to Berlin – to Malzfabrik. Here the artwork is residing for the foreseeable future in the park, close to the biotope, and will be inaugurated on 31st July.

A sculpture that wanders about and wants to be experienced.
NOW WON – as a sign that something has to change NOW.
