District Berlin started in spring 2018 the contemporary Online-Video Art Platform D`EST:
A Multi-Curatorial Online Platform for Video Art from the Former „East” and „West”, that is accessible until the end of 2020. After a prologue under the headline “ O`Mystical East and West in winter 2016”, a curatorial research summit with a public frame program in April forms the beginning of the project initiated by Ulrike Gerhard. Between June and November 2018 six further screening episodes will be shown.

In collaboration with fifteen curators, fifty artists and many more cultural experts D´EST opens itself for a cartography of artistical forms of history writing, especially by female and collective producers.
On three dates in 2018 two screenings each will be shown in partner institutions in Germany (Düsseldorf). Russia (Moscow) and Poland (Poznan). On 21st February 2018 the video art platform will go online with first information about the screening episodes and the curators.

If you are interested in the project you can visit and register on the website www.d-est.com. For a regular newsletter you can register under info@d-est.com.
