eteam "When the dancing gets too stiff, the rain needs to get dug out as ice-cubes"
A 2-day exhibition of the District Arts and Cultural Promotion as part of the Malzmeadow.
On behalf of District for young contemporary art, we cordially invite you to the opening of eteam on Saturday, June 4th 2011, at 2 pm!
The exhibition "When the dancing gets too stiff, the rain needs to get dug out as ice-cubes" (2011) takes place at the Malzwiese, the Malzfabrik´s summer festival themed around sustainability, which kicks off Saturday at the same time. On this occasion eteam, a group of artists from New York consisting of Franziska Lamprecht and Hajoe Moderegger, will show their latest 5-channel video installation for the first time in Berlin. The artists auctioned two sleepy properties on ebay, one located near Dewitz in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, the second near the town of Oasis in the desert of Nevada. In both places, residents lack a steady water supply and therefore become collectively inventive. The installation of eteam can only be seen this weekend in June, exclusively at the atrium of the District Foundation.
