Swarm of Selenium

A short science fiction film about nursing homes, militant struggles and toxic trauma is the project "Swarm of Selenium" by the current District Kunst- und Kulturförderung studio scholarship recipient Maude.

After the conception of the film and the involvement of artists and collectives from Montreal and Berlin a successful fundraising took place over the last eight months. However, funds are still missing to cover the cost of stage and costume design, transport and technical equipment.

Together with her film collective of young queer feminist and trans activists and artists the born Canadian seeks additional support through a crowdfunding campaign and asks for donations with this video>>.

Filmed in and around the Malzfabrik the film depicts a surreal present where a group of girl-friends inhabits an abandoned factory. A frightening succession of signs takes place that finds its way in the form of broken glass out of their mouths. But through dance, visual work and anti-working they cooperate to combat the violence coming from within.

Every donation helps realising the film. The entire collective says thank you for any support!
